    Position Summary

    Assigns motor vehicles and drivers to meet daily operational needs for freight transportation.

    Major Tasks and Responsibilities
    • Sources drivers and equipment to execute operations efficiently.
    • Compiles a list of available vehicles and assigns them appropriately.
    • Records driver staffing requirements for transportation runs.
    • Prepares a list of extra drivers available for assignments.
    • Tracks and records all line haul movement in transportation management applications.
    • Collaborates with dock operators to plan and move intermodal and purchase transportation loads in a timely manner.
    • Distributes the transmittal of load tenders and informational transfer to and with purchase transportation and intermodal providers.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
    • 5+ years of transportation or dispatch experience.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and transportation management applications.
