Dispatcher
The Dispatcher is the operational control center of the shift and plays a critical role in the success of the entire operation. This position is responsible for coordinating shuttle movement, directing customer traffic flow, maintaining terminal coverage, and ensuring customers receive fast, friendly, and professional service from arrival to departure. A successful Dispatcher is organized, proactive, calm under pressure, and capable of managing multiple moving parts simultaneously. The Dispatcher directly impacts customer wait times, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain real-time awareness of all shuttle locations and lot activity
- Coordinate shuttle movement between parking sections and airport terminals
- Ensure continuous shuttle coverage at both terminals and on the parking lot
- Dispatch drivers based on traffic flow, flight demand, and operational needs
- Manage lunches, breaks, fueling rotations, and shuttle assignments
- Prevent service gaps and minimize customer wait times
- Greet customers professionally upon arrival
- Determine the airline and terminal destination to properly route guests
- Direct customers to the correct parking section and shuttle
- Maintain a positive, professional, and engaging attitude with every customer interaction
- Assist in resolving customer concerns and service delays professionally
- Maintain professional radio communication with all drivers
- Acknowledge and respond to all driver communications promptly
- Provide clear, concise, and direct operational instructions
- Maintain a calm and professional tone during high-pressure situations
- Maintain accurate day sheets and operational logs
- Track shuttle assignments, section usage, and vehicle counts
- Assist with lost locator slip procedures using operational records
- Document and communicate operational issues to management
- Monitor lot activity and report suspicious activity immediately
- Ensure only authorized vehicles access shuttle gates and fueling areas
- Assist with emergency procedures, severe weather response, and accident reporting
- Maintain compliance with airport and operational procedures
Requirements
Qualifications
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer and radio communication skills preferred
- Dispatching, transportation, hospitality, parking, or logistics experience preferred but not required
