    Location: Walkersville, MD 21793

    Duration: 12+ months contract

    Job Summary

    The QC Micro Environmental Monitoring (EM) Analyst I supports the Quality Control Environmental Monitoring team in maintaining cleanroom environments for commercial manufacturing operations under both At Rest and In Operation conditions. This role plays a key part in environmental monitoring processes, microbiological testing, investigations, and maintaining overall compliance within the microbiology department.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform environmental monitoring activities within cleanroom environments.
    • Conduct microbiological assays for media, raw materials, and product release testing as required.
    • Coordinate and perform microbial isolations and identifications.
    • Support laboratory maintenance, including equipment, supplies, and general upkeep.
    • Investigate environmental monitoring excursions and deviations and prepare detailed reports.
    • Perform data analysis and prepare summary reports for environmental monitoring trend analysis.
    • Write and revise SOPs, procedures, and qualification reports through change control processes.
    • Ensure compliance with required training programs and assist in training other analysts when needed.
    Qualifications
    • 1–3 years of relevant experience in microbiology, environmental monitoring, or QC laboratory environment.
    • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific field preferred (not required).
    • Experience with environmental monitoring or microbiological testing is a plus.
    Additional Requirements
    • Must be able to work in cleanroom environments with proper gowning procedures (training provided).
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
    • Comfortable working with stairs, ladders, and step stools as part of daily tasks.
    • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
