    Technology Modernization And Innovation Sme

    Savvee Inc. is seeking a dynamic Technology Modernization And Innovation Subject Matter Expert to support our federal client onsite in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidate provides senior advisory support to identify and advance modernization initiatives and advise leadership on technical options and tradeoffs. This role is ideal if you enjoy translating mission needs into modern, secure solutions, excelling at bridging legacy environments to innovative platforms, and influencing adoption through collaboration and clear technical storytelling.

    Essential Functions

    • Providing senior SME support for technology modernization and innovation.
    • Identifying and evaluating modernization opportunities aligned to mission needs.
    • Leading feasibility assessments, PoCs, pilots, and technical demonstrations.
    • Advising leadership on modernization options, risks, costs, and dependencies.
    • Applying automation, analytics, and AI-enabled approaches where appropriate.
    • Ensuring solutions align with security, compliance, the client's requirements.
    • Supporting transition from legacy solutions to modern platforms.
    • Coordinating with service delivery, data, and financial teams.
    • Documenting and communicating modernization findings and recommendations.
    • Supporting promotion and adoption of validated solutions.
    • Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
    • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

    Required Education And Training

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
    • PMP certification

    Minimum Experience And Skills Required

    • Fifteen or more years of experience supporting federal IT modernization and technology strategy, along with experience advising executives on technical options and tradeoffs
    • Experience with Cloud, platform, and application modernization (including hybrid environments)
    • Experience with rapid prototyping, PoCs, pilots, and demonstrations
    • Experience with workflow automation and digital enablement
    • Experience with technical feasibility, risk, dependency, and transition analysis
    • Experience operating within federal security, privacy, and compliance constraints
    • Applied use of AI/ML or analytics to support decisions
    • Must have the ability to obtain the client's suitability
    • Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AI-assisted tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A highly motivated self-starter
    • Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills

    Desirable But Not Required Qualifications

    • One or more of the following certifications: Cloud Architecture, Agile, SAFe, or Platform Engineering
    • Federal mission environment experience
