**Federal Project - Applicant must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust** Baer is looking for Appian Transition Analysis Specialist for a 4-month Federal Remote Project. Title: Appian Transition Analysis Specialist Location: Remote (Must be based in US) Duration: 4 months with possible extension. Rate: All-inclusive Alignment: W2 or C2C Overview We are looking for an experienced Transition Analysis Specialist to assess our current application landscape and develop a migration strategy to the Appian low-code platform. This role will evaluate existing systems, identify migration opportunities, and provide recommendations for a successful modernization approach. Description: * Analyze the current application ecosystem, including web, mobile, backend services, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and databases. * Assess application functionality, complexity, dependencies, and business criticality. * Evaluate Appian platform capabilities and determine migration suitability. * Identify components that can be effectively migrated to Appian and provide supporting rationale. * Highlight applications or features that are not suitable for migration and explain associated challenges. * Develop a prioritized migration roadmap based on business value, technical feasibility, and effort. * Identify migration risks and recommend mitigation strategies. * Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to validate findings. * Present recommendations and migration strategies to leadership teams. * Document analysis results, recommendations, and transition plans. Requirements: * 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development or architecture. * Hands-on experience with the Appian low-code platform. * Strong knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations. * Experience with Java and Spring Boot. * Understanding of Angular, iOS, and Android application architectures. * Experience with AWS services, including EKS and EC2. * Familiarity with MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, and Redis. * Knowledge of microservices and API Gateway architectures. * Bachelors Degree. * Appian and/or AWS certifications Preferred * Experience evaluating other low-code/no-code platforms. * Knowledge of application modernization and cloud migration best practices. * Experience creating migration assessments and transformation roadmaps.
