    Airport GOA Position

    PT Airport GOA availability should be Sunday/Monday/Thursday/Friday afternoon/evenings. Agents can expect 10-20 hours/week, opportunity for additional hours once summer/holiday activity picks up. Agents will start at $15/hr during training, move to $16/hr once GOA signoff is complete. Once pushback and FCA training completed, move to $17/hr. Under immediate supervision, is responsible for performing loading and unloading cargo or passenger aircraft as part of a crew of aircraft ground handlers. They are also responsible for greeting airline customers, checking in passengers and baggage, performing duties of ground security coordinator and resolving customer complaints.

    Essential functions and basic duties include:

    • Loads and unloads cargo aircraft, baggage, move freight, operate ground service equipment.
    • Maintains machinery and vehicles in proper operating condition needed to service aircraft.
    • Maintains facility and equipment cleanliness before and after operations.
    • Maintains security awareness and hazardous materials awareness appropriate to the airport and aircraft environment.

    Other duties as appropriate from other relative job descriptions. Other assignments and/or duties as directed.

    Working conditions include:

    • Work in an indoor and outdoor environment.

    Additional job requirements for cargo handler:

    • Must be comfortable working outside in all-weather climates.
    • Reliability and dependability is a must, flight times range from day to day/week to week.
    • Flexibility that allows adjustments to start/end times based on changes with the anticipated flights.
    • Transportation that allows them to be self-reliant on arriving to work.
    • Positions require limited scheduling restrictions on when the candidate can work.
    • Ability to adapt to changes with the schedule, flights and work environment.
    • Open to cross training/assisting other areas based on Rickenbacker needs.
    • Commitment to the aviation lifestyle and inconsistencies with the scheduling needs that it requires.
    • Ideal candidate wants a long term work assignment and is motivated to learn new responsibilities.
    • Immediate access to receiving text, emails and phone calls for purposes of changes in the flight schedule.
    • Right fit individual must be mechanically inclined based on the equipment they utilize.

    Additional job requirements for ground agents:

    • Ability to deal with conflict resolution.
    • Lifting customer baggage and can be more physically demanding.
    • Flexibility that allows for adjusting start/end times based on changes with the scheduled flights.
    • Schedule will mirror the Allegiant Passenger flight schedule but still requires flexibility with start/end times based on delayed flights.
    • Strong customer service skills requires a positive, professional and friendly attitude at all times.
    • Displays urgency based on the time restraints of Allegiant flights.
    • Ability to remain composed in all types of situations.
    • Computer training on the Allegiant software system and testing on the required courses.
    • Must be self-motivated to complete required computer training course (up to 3 weeks).
    • Attention to detail is extremely important as it relates to Allegiant and FAA Regulations.
    • Interactions with TSA agents as it relates to the baggage requirements.
