Service Dispatcher - Mobile Fleet Operations

    $75,000 Base Salary + Labor Profit-Sharing | Growth Opportunity | Hiring ASAP

Are you highly organized, great with people, and energised by keeping a busy service operation running smoothly? This is a key leadership-support role overseeing the daily workflow of five mobile fleet mechanics, with plenty of room to grow as the team expands.

We are hiring immediately for a Service Dispatcher to join our maintenance operations. Our mobile team handles Preventative Maintenance, DOT and non-DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for a diverse customer base. Mechanics start their day at 2:00 PM and typically work 8-10 hours per shift; you will begin at 12:00 PM to prepare the day's assignments and ensure everything is set up for success.

    What You'll Do

As the heartbeat of our service operation, you will:
    • Prepare, manage, and review all mechanic work orders for accuracy and completeness.
    • Assign daily work to each mobile mechanic, considering workload, priority level, geography, and customer needs.
    • Communicate directly with customers-providing updates, scheduling service, securing repair approvals, and explaining inspection results.
    • Schedule preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs while optimizing routes and technician efficiency.
    • Build service estimates based on inspection findings, present/sell recommended repairs, and schedule approved work.
    • Track job progress, ensuring tasks are completed on time and escalating issues when needed.
    • Confirm parts availability and coordinate with the parts department to keep technicians fully prepared.
    • Monitor technician productivity and performance to help maintain key KPIs (billed hours, completion rates, response times).
    • Ensure compliance with DOT, safety, and company documentation standards.
    • Maintain accurate records, including customer communication, inspection logs, service history, and repair documentation.
    • Provide end-of-day reporting outlining completed work, open jobs, and next-day priorities.
    What We're Looking For

You'll thrive in this role if you are:
    • Highly organized and detail-driven
    • Strong with multitasking in a fast-paced service environment
    • Excellent at communication-with customers, technicians, and internal departments
    • Comfortable owning the operational flow and keeping many moving parts aligned
    • Motivated by efficiency, accuracy, and team success
Previous dispatching or service coordination experience-especially in automotive, trucking, or mobile repair-is a strong asset.

    What We Offer
    • $75,000 annual base salary
    • Labor profit-sharing commission (strong earning potential tied to performance)
    • Opportunity to grow alongside an expanding mobile service operation
    • A leadership-aligned role where your decisions make a daily impact
