Freight Dispatcher
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Freight Dispatcher to coordinate and manage daily transportation operations. This role is responsible for scheduling drivers, optimizing routes, ensuring on-time deliveries, and maintaining clear communication with drivers and customers to support efficient and profitable operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, equipment, and loads in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor driver routes and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
- Communicate with drivers regarding routes, delays, and customer instructions
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate records of loads, mileage, and delivery status
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Resolve delivery issues, delays, or service disruptions quickly and professionally
- Coordinate with brokers, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Optimize routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
