    divh2PT Dispatcher/h2pThe Dispatcher is primarily responsible for monitoring and operating the Colleges telecommunications equipment, building systems and alarms, and conveying necessary information to provide for a safe and secure campus environment./ppCompensation for the Dispatcher is $17.90 - $20.58 an hour. The schedule for the PT Dispatcher may vary between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift./ppEssential Functions:/pulliOperate Campus Police Dispatch Center phone, radio, databases, computer systems, and other equipment./liliObtain and provide information from callers to officers, to Facilities Services personnel, other college departments, and other agencies according to department procedures./liliLog information about department operations and incidents./liliMonitor and operate Law Enforcement Agencies Data System (LEADS)./liliMaintain, distribute and file reports and items for Lost and Found./liliContact proper agencies, officials and personnel as required during emergency situations./liliObserve weather monitor and LEADS terminal and report weather conditions as necessary./liliMonitor fire alarm systems, campus security alarms, remote access, and other building systems and report information to appropriate personnel./liliMaintain, distribute and file folders, records, reports and tickets as assigned./liliDistribute and log vehicle folders./liliPerform routine typing and clerical work as assigned./liliWork varied and flexible shifts, hours, and days off as assigned, to provide 24-hour service./liliPerform other duties as assigned./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliSuccessful completion of Illinois Central College Dispatcher Training Program./liliExperience working in an office, customer service, or call center environment./liliStrong typing skills, including the ability to type at least 40 words per minute./liliStrong organizational skills./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills./liliStrong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others./liliMaintain composure under stressful and adverse conditions./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliExperience working in dispatch or related communication, security, or law enforcement field./liliExperience in monitoring and operations of building systems./li/ulh2Illinois Central College Offers A Comprehensive Benefit Package For Full-Time Employees, Including:/h2ulliPaid time off;/lili11 paid holidays; 2 floating holidays/liliMedical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance;/liliTuition waivers for employee, spouse and dependent children;/liliOn-site childcare center;/lili403(b) retirement plans; and/liliState University Retirement System pension plan./li/ulh2To Learn More About Full-Time Health Care Benefits At Icc./h2/div
