The Senior Analyst for Government Customer Care provides frontline problem solving and knowledge to meet customer needs, interacts with various internal locations and processes, and resolves issues that require management-level interaction. Duties include applying critical thinking to resolve customer and internal needs, liaising internally, and leading resolution while maintaining booking accuracy and meeting KPI expectations. The analyst works closely with Virginia Trade and Operations teams, CMA CGM Operations, Service Delivery, and CMA CGM Agencies globally.Business SegmentsU.S. FlagGuamRelief CargoMilitary HHGSSegments handle various cargo types including dry, refrigerated, out-of-gauge, shipper-owned, hazardous, and breakbulk. The role supports both export and import cargo in high volume, particularly project cargo with regular turnover of customer base, cargo types, and demand. Project management, adaptability, interpretation of information, and critical thinking are valuable skills.Functions & DutiesProvide problem resolution across multiple interaction areas by following processes and ensuring follow-up, including special cargo, terminals/APL and non-APL, truckers/vendors, rail operations, shipment monitoring, and documentation.Provide bookings with consultation for vessel approvals and construct customer, blocking, bracing, hazardous requirements, terminal procedures, and coordination with operations US/overseas.Optimize and build work processes to streamline workload and improve support.Maintain positive relationships with internal partners and external contacts; negotiate best solutions for APL and customers.Take initiative and act as lead on projects, set tasks and priorities, delegate as needed, coordinate multiple projects and make recommendations.Make limited financial decisions regarding cargo free time, freight rate reductions, motor carrier costs, and service recovery waivers.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAction oriented: takes initiative, prioritizes tasks, and drives work to timely completion.Communicates effectively: clear verbal and written communication, listens actively, ensures mutual understanding.Collaboration: works cooperatively with team members and cross-functional partners.Customer focus: provides high-quality service and a positive experience.Trustworthiness: demonstrates integrity, reliability, and discretion.Problem resolution: identifies issues quickly and applies effective solutions following guidelines.Critical thinking: uses logic, data, and judgment to evaluate information.Adaptability: adjusts effectively to shifting priorities and new assignments.Entry-level Excel skills: basic data entry, sorting, filtering, formatting, simple formulas.QualificationsEducationRequired: High School Diploma or GED. Industry Experience: 1-3 years.Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $61,000 - $76,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
