    Job Description

    The Jocelyn Benson for Governor campaign is seeking an experienced, organized, and demonstrated team player to serve as a Scheduler on one of the most high-profile races in the nation in 2026. The Scheduler will work directly with the Operations Team (and candidate) to create and implement a statewide candidate schedule. This role must be adaptable, creative, discreet, and willing to spend hours on small details. This position takes place in a fast-paced campaign environment that regularly requires accurate work on tight deadlines, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage competing priorities and projects.

    This is a full-time position based in Ferndale, Michigan (Detroit-Metro area).

    Job Responsibilities

    • Work with the Operations Director and senior leadership team to build and manage a candidate schedule that aligns with campaign priorities
    • Compile and organize all scheduling requests
    • Maintain a statewide calendar of events
    • Manage an interteam process that produces briefing materials for the candidate
    • Occasional internal team scheduling and scheduling for senior members of the staff
    • Manage the daily operations and organization of the campaign office
    • Book travel for the candidate and accompanying staff
    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • At least 1-2 years of scheduling or operations experience
    • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple small details and requests at one time
    • A demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively, and to follow through on multiple tasks
    • A demonstrated ability to maintain discretion
    • A desire to work long campaign hours, including evenings and weekends in 2025
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
    • Access to a reliable car- preferably American and union-made

    Compensation: $5,500 - $6,500. Health, vision, and dental insurance provided by the campaign.
