Summary
As a Correctional Rec Leader at the Miami Correctional Facility, you will be responsible for working as a part of a team in a maximum-security Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) facility for adult males. During a 7.5-hour shift, you will be responsible for the security of the recreation building and the safety of the incarcerated individuals during the recreation lines. You will be responsible for implementing daily recreational programs during your shift with added responsibilities communicated to you by the Rec Coordinator. This position requires a schedule to work Tuesday through Saturday. Salary Statement: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. Eligible non-custody staff who complete required training and certification to perform federal detention duties will receive a $20 non-discretionary bonus for each shift that they are assigned those duties.
