Summary
The On-Call Flex Security Officer provides supplemental security coverage in a retail environment by filling shifts due to call-offs, vacations, staffing shortages, and peak business needs. This position is not a regularly scheduled role and does not guarantee hours. Flex Officers serve as a critical support function to maintain safe and secure operations when primary staff are unavailable. This role requires adaptability and reliability, as shifts may be offered on short notice. Officers are not expected to be available 24/7 but must provide designated days and time ranges during which they are available to be contacted and report to work if needed. Provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Security personnel will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of all activity that takes place in the assigned area.
