The role requires advanced risk assessment, protection planning, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in high‑pressure situations.Job OverviewAs a Close Protection and Event Security Specialist, you will develop and execute security plans for domestic and international events, travel, and off‑site meetings. You will coordinate secure transportation, manage intelligence, and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the safety of our workforce and stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesConduct risk assessments and develop security plans for events, travel, and off‑site meetings.Coordinate secure transportation and logistics, including route planning and emergency protocols.Monitor intelligence and incorporate findings into protection strategies.Partner with law enforcement and external agencies to ensure seamless protection.Conduct physical and threat assessments; recommend security enhancements.Develop and implement emergency response protocols and contingency plans.Provide emergency medical support and de‑escalate potential threats.Provide executive protection for the CEO, Board of Directors, and visiting dignitaries.Provide surveillance, counter‑surveillance, and covert protection for high‑profile individuals and events.Collaborate with Close Protection and Event Planning teams to ensure safe execution of events.Occasionally support and provide protection for the CEO and Board of Directors.Additional ResponsibilitiesOther duties as assigned in the protection and security field.QualificationsEducation: Undergraduate studies in business administration, psychology, criminal justice, security management, or related fields preferred.Experience: Five or more years in law enforcement, corporate security, or executive protection. Experience with active shooter response, counter‑terrorism, crisis management, and close protection preferred.Licenses & Certifications: Must maintain annual firearm licensure required to carry a firearm in the state of assignment. May be required to obtain a concealed carry permit. Must qualify for an AOA (Airport Operations Area). Must pass a pre‑employment psychological assessment, a pre‑employment and biannual physical evaluation.Skills & Abilities: Strong understanding of private security laws, corporate security protocols, and executive protection practices. Proficient in risk assessment, threat management, emergency response, law enforcement techniques, first aid, and firearms. Excellent verbal and written communication. Advanced protective driving skills. Physically fit to perform demanding tasks.Reporting RelationshipReports to Manager, Close Protection and Event Security. This is an individual contributor role.Work ConditionsMust be able to work flexible office hours, including weekends, holidays, special event coverage, or emergency situations. Must pass physical fitness requirements, a psychological exam, and criminal background checks.
