Day-to-Day:
the Dispatcher - Courier Logistics coordinates routine and STAT lab and non- lab pickups for AdventHealth, AHL Outreach Clients, FRI and others. The Dispatcher receives and documents calls using the Dispatch software electronic logistics system. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Available for various and flexible shifts, especially nights weekends and holidays.
- Coordinates routine and STAT lab and non-lab pickups and drop offs utilizing vehicle tracking and request dispatching software
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and breakdowns
- Assign vehicles, keys and handheld devices as needed.
- Understanding and maximizing the efficiency of your team of drivers. Monitors drivers for punctuality and responsiveness.
- Conduct effective resource planning to maximize the productivity of resources.

- Utilize dispatch software to enter in requests, dispatch to drivers and track drivers through their shift. Add new drivers in the system as well as remove drivers no longer with the department. Find trends and inefficiencies to better help the department.

Required Skills & Experience
Must-Haves:
• Background in call center, dispatching (911, Police, Firefighter, etc.), or logistics (mail, supply chain, etc.)
• Ability to learn and apply computer related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices, and creating orders via email
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with persons of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective and professional manner.
• Ability to interpret and communicate directions utilizing GPS mapping applications.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented
• High school diploma/GED
