CNLV Police Department appearance policy prohibits tattoos on the hands, face, neck, and head, including behind the ear. The only exception is a simple wedding band on the ring finger. If you have any prohibited tattoo, you are not eligible for the position. If it is removed, you would then be eligible to apply for the position.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
The Role
The Lateral Correction Officer works under general supervision, performs security work overseeing and directing the activities of inmates within the Community Correctional Center and during transport to other facilities, and performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards. The City will provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities. It is the responsibility of the candidate requiring accommodation to contact the Human Resources Department (preferably in writing) at the time of application.
