This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge and experience related to logistics, with a special emphasis on warehouse operations and customer service. The Warehouse Lead is a working lead who demonstrates core leadership qualities and is flexible, has excellent communication skills and is able to adapt easily to change.
Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operations Lead is responsible for the daily operations related to Material Management including shipping/receiving, material handling, material inventory and cycle counts, forklift operation, customer service, document destruction and other tasks related to Logistics. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for providing an array of customer driven on demand services within a secure government facility.

Physical demands: Performance of work may require sorting and movement of items up to 35 pounds and may require extended walking and standing. Performs light to moderate lifting when moving material by hand or hand-truck. May be required to operate a variety of forklifts to move, load and unload material. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. Employee is required to stand, walk, sit, squat, stoop, bend, climb, lift and pull. Employee is required to use hands and fingers to finger, handle, feel and grip material and tools. Employee is required to reach with hands and arms, extending arms forward and above the head.
Work environment: Generally favorable indoor office workspace and/or limited exposure to adverse weather conditions. Will be required to use personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, safety vest, hardhat, and/or ear protection.
