Position Summary:
OFAC Agent– is responsible for obtaining required clearance and screening of OFAC origin/destination shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely clearance through U.S. Customs.
Review and process shipments efficiently while maintaining compliance with all applicable government agency regulations and requirements.
Screen, verify, and accurately enter data for all OFAC-regulated shipments.
Communicate shipment status updates and delays with DHL origin and destination stations to ensure operational visibility and coordination.
Examine invoices, shipment contents, and shipping documentation to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Experience:
· Strong understanding of operations and customs processes.
Skills:
·Proficient in computer operations and data entry systems.
·Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
·Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
·Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
·Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
·Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, and climbing stairs/ladders.
·Flexibility to work PM shifts and adapt to operational requirements.
·Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions.
