This role serves as the first line of detection and response to protect employees, facilities, research environments, and intellectual property./ph3Job Responsibilities/h3pMonitoring Incident Response/pulliMonitor access control systems, CCTV platforms, intrusion detection systems, and environmental/life safety alarms./liliRespond to alarms and alerts in accordance with established SOPs and escalation protocols./liliDispatch security personnel, facilities teams, or emergency responders as appropriate./liliProvide real-time situational awareness during incidents./liliDocument all incidents accurately and thoroughly in incident management systems./li/ulpAccess Control Credentialing Support/pulliProcess badge access requests in accordance with company policy and approval workflows./liliConduct access audits and ensure compliance with access governance standards./liliDeactivate access credentials in alignment with HR offboarding procedures./liliTroubleshoot access control issues and coordinate with technical teams when needed./li/ulpCCTV Investigative Support/pulliRetrieve and review surveillance footage to support investigations or incident inquiries./liliExport and preserve video evidence following chain-of-custody procedures./liliMaintain awareness of camera functionality and report system issues./li/ulpLaboratory Facility Emergency Support/pulliMonitor and escalate lab-related environmental alarms (e.g., temperature, freezer alerts, power interruptions, life safety systems)./liliCoordinate with Facilities, EHS, and lab operations during emergencies./liliSupport business continuity and emergency response procedures./li/ulpOperational Excellence/pulliFollow established playbooks, escalation matrices, and compliance standards./liliParticipate in shift handoffs and provide detailed briefings to incoming operators./liliIdentify potential security risks or process improvements and escalate appropriately./liliMaintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive matters./li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliHigh School diploma or equivalent required./lili25 years of experience in a security operations center (SOC), physical security, dispatch, emergency communications, or a related operational field./liliHands-on experience using access control systems, CCTV platforms, and alarm monitoring software./liliAbility to assess, triage, and prioritize multiple incidents simultaneously in a fast-paced environment./liliStrong situational awareness and ability to identify potential risks or anomalies./liliDemonstrated technical aptitude and comfort learning new security systems and tools./liliProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet-based business applications./liliExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation./liliStrong communication skills, both written and verbal./liliProven sound judgment under pressure and during critical incidents./liliHigh levels of reliability, accountability, and professionalism./liliAbility to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment./liliAbility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs require./li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliExperience in biotech, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated environments./liliPrior experience in a 24/7 operations environment./liliKnowledge of incident management systems and evidence handling procedures./liliProfessional security training or certifications (e.g., ASIS certifications or similar)./li/ulh3Physical Demands/h3ulliMust possess ability to sit, stand, and/or work at a computer for long periods of time./liliAbility to work extended hours during implementations and on-call rotations./li/ulh3Training/h3ulliAll job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee./li/ulh3Other/h3ulliAbility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required./liliShifts available:/liulliFriday, Saturday, Sunday 5 am - 5 pm AZ time/liliMonday, Tuesday, Wednesday 5pm - 5 am AZ time/liliFriday, Saturday, Sunday 5 pm - 5 am AZ time/li/ul/ulpConditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check (applicable for certain positions) and reference verification./ppThis job description reflects managements assignment of essential functions.
