    Join us in our fast-paced support to develop, advance, and sustain weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners. You will be joining a team of personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments to meet current and projected strategic, operational, and tactical needs for the Department of Defense (DoD). QinetiQ is a mission-led innovation company that works with the USSF and DoD to design, develop, field, and maintain requirements essential to national security and the survivability of the warfighter.

    We are seeking a Strategic Engagement Subject Matter Expert to lead outreach and industry engagement efforts supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) program. The ideal candidate brings deep experience advising senior leadership on stakeholder communications, industry engagement, and strategic positioning across the space acquisition enterprise.


    • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to engage industry, academia, and interagency stakeholders in support of SAF/SQ acquisition objectives
    • Advise senior government officials on engagement strategies, messaging, and stakeholder communication across the space enterprise
    • Coordinate and facilitate industry days, pre-solicitation conferences, and other outreach events; develop associated briefings and materials
    • Synthesize complex acquisition and policy information into clear, executive-level communications for internal and external audiences
    • Track legislative, policy, and industry developments relevant to the space acquisition mission and provide analysis and recommendations to government leadership
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across DoD, the Intelligence Community, inter-agency partners, and commercial space industry
    • Provide operational and technical advice for projects and programs as well as support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities
    • Support the development, delivery, review, and evaluation of impact analysis, audits, studies, and readiness reviews
    • Develop outreach strategies aligned with national space policy priorities and SAF/SQ acquisition road-maps

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, public affairs, political science, business, or a related field;
    • 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, or outreach within the DoD or national security community
    • Demonstrated experience developing and executing engagement strategies at the senior leadership level
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to translate complex technical and policy content into accessible messaging for executive audiences
    • Experience engaging with defense industry stakeholders, congressional staff, or interagency partners on acquisition-related matters
    • Knowledgeable with respect to DoD, Air Force, and Space Force acquisition processes, regulations, and policy frameworks
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills
    • TS/SCI Eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob

    • Master's degree preferred
    • Prior experience supporting space acquisition programs or the United States Space Force
    • Familiarity with the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
    • Prior experience in a SETA or advisory role within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Air Force Secretariat, or Space Force
