They communicate clearly, uphold high customer service standards, and represent the community with a polished and respectful presence in a fast paced, high end setting./ppSpecific duties and essential functions include conducting armed foot, vehicle, and marine patrols to watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems to ensure constant site awareness; sounding alarms or calling police/fire departments immediately in the event of fire, medical emergencies, or the presence of unauthorized persons; responding promptly to all incidents, emergencies, and disturbances on the property; permitting authorized persons to enter property by verifying guest/vendor credentials and monitoring all entrances and exits; warning violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, while ensuring all property rules and post orders are strictly enforced; investigating and preparing detailed reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintaining comprehensive daily activity logs to ensure all shift events are documented for management; providing high-level customer service by aiding residents, members, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner; and acting as a visual deterrent to crime while maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons./ppPossess valid Florida Class D and G security licenses and a valid Drivers License. Basic boating experience and operational knowledge, high school diploma or equivalent, 21 years of age or older, ability to pass background screening and drug test, ability to pass a mental health assessment, reliable transportation. Clear verbal and written communication skills, active listening skills, ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, strong customer service skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, good judgment and situational awareness, professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude./ppOne year of experience in a gated country club environment performing patrol, gatehouse, and security dispatch duties preferred. Experience with alarm systems and responding to alarm activations, experience with ABDI gate access system, experience with Avigilon camera systems./ppMust be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States and must be able to successfully complete all training required for the position./ppIndoor and outdoor assignments. Marine Operations: Must have the physical coordination to safely board and disembark various types of watercrafts from docks of varying heights. Ability to maintain balance and stability while standing or moving on a vessel in motion or in choppy water conditions. Environmental Exposure: Ability to perform duties in indoor, outdoor, and marine settings. Must be capable of working in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain. Marine Unit officers must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, wind, and the glare/reflection of water. Hazardous Conditions: Occasional exposure to high-stress situations, including responding to emergencies or physical disturbances. Stationary Mobile Positions: Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing), walk for extended periods, traverse the property, or move between posts for the duration of an 8-hour shift, or as operationally required. Must be able to maintain constant alertness and professional posture throughout the assigned period. Patrol Requirements: Ability to continuously walk on various surfaces including pavement, grass, and uneven terrain while conducting interior and exterior rounds. Emergency Response: Must be able to react quickly to emergency situations, which may include running, climbing stairs, or navigating obstacles. Sensory Abilities: Must have the visual acuity to monitor CCTV and observe surroundings, and the auditory ability to respond to alarms and communicate via two-way radio or telephone. Physical Maneuverability: Frequent reaching; occasional squatting, kneeling, or stooping. Must have the manual dexterity and strength to handle, pull, and secure mooring lines, and assist with the docking and undocking of vessels. Water Safety: Must be comfortable working on and around water for the duration of the shift. While not a daily requirement, must have the ability to remain calm and follow safety protocols in the event of an accidental fall overboard or a water-based emergency. Lifting Strength: Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds.
