As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more.

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle, so you must meet the age and driver's license requirements. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards within the location and report findings as required.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence.
• Assist with access control procedures and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Support Allied Universal and client management with incident reporting and documentation as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
