Deputy Sheriff - Rockbridge County & Lexington CityThe Office of the Sheriff for Rockbridge County and Lexington City is seeking professional, motivated, and dedicated individuals interested in a career in law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff .Minimum Qualifications:At least 18 years of ageValid driver's licenseHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to successfully complete a thorough background investigationAbility to successfully complete a physical examinationPreferred Qualifications:Prior law enforcement experienceMilitary experienceApplicants who are not currently certified as a Virginia Law Enforcement Officer must successfully complete a Virginia law enforcement academy upon hire. All selected applicants must also complete the agency's Field Training Program .The Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week .
