    Security Officer 1

    As a Security Officer 1 at WBD, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and security of our properties and people worldwide. Your role is crucial in protecting our assets, addressing security concerns, and responding to incidents with professionalism and care.

    Your Role Accountabilities

    • Patrol and Protect: Conduct regular patrols of our facilities and grounds, investigating any unusual occurrences and ensuring everything is secure.
    • Security Inspections: Perform thorough security inspections, document findings, and notify the appropriate personnel of any issues.
    • Access Control: Manage security checkpoints at our Techwood and other Atlanta locations, screening and controlling access to priority areas.
    • Escort Services: Provide escort services for employees, visitors, and tenants to parking facilities upon request.
    • Incident & Emergency Response: Be the first responder to incidents and emergencies, engaging with victims, witnesses, and suspects to ensure safety and resolve situations effectively.

    Work Experience

    Prior security, law enforcement, military experience preferred

    Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

    • Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.; be able to read and write in order to review and complete required incident reports and perform various record keeping activities at a level normally acquired through completion of high school.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid vehicle operator's permit or license and have a responsible driving record.
    • Must pass the pre-employment/random drug screening and background investigation.

    Knowledge/Skills

    • Must be able to follow directions; must be able to work rapidly in situations of high stress; ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and work with multiple supervisors.
    • Should possess interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact and communicate with a variety of WBD employees, tenants, and visitors, sometimes under potentially stressful situations.
    • Must possess analytical skills necessary to inspect WBD property, ensure security of all WBD employees, tenants, and visitors and prepare non-complex incident reports.
    • Must possess and maintain the highest level of ethical and legal standards, to include compliance with all appropriate Federal, State and Local laws, Company Policy, Procedures and Departmental Directives, particularly as they relate to illegal substance and alcohol abuse.
    • Must posses thorough knowledge of security policies and procedures.

    Other Requirements

    • Work requires walking and standing for long periods of time in extreme physical environments, including but not limited to heat and cold.
    • Work requires one's ability to physically restrain and lift disruptive individuals of varying sizes and weight. Work also requires ability to go up and down multiple flights of stairs.

    Probationary Period

    Beginning at the date of hire, the first ninety (90) days is a probationary period for all new Security Officers. During the probationary period, Security Officers must successfully complete mandatory training.
