    Job Location (Short): O'ahu, Kapolei, Hawaii

    The Opportunity

    • Dispatcher at a growth-oriented energy company
    • Work with a cohesive team to serve a small community
    • Reporting to the Trucking Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling and assigning vehicles to deliver petroleum products on Oahu and Hawaii Island. You'll consistently provide exemplary customer service when interacting with drivers and customers to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and account inventories are maintained appropriately.
    Key activities include:
    • Strong, working knowledge of company policies and procedures, and responsible for updating procedures and driver manuals as needed.
    • Receives customer orders via telephone, fax, or computer system for fuel deliveries. Work with customers and/or drivers to help resolve scheduling issues.
    • Monitors product inventory at company operated locations and other customer locations by prior arrangement to ensure sufficient product supply.
    • Maintains inventories and delivery history to establish usage and delivery profiles. Determines safe fill levels.
    • Determines products to be loaded on delivery vehicles to ensure safety, proper delivery sequence, maintain product integrity on vehicles and meet customer requirements. Consolidate less than truckload deliveries to maximize fleet performance.
    • Maintain current customer files of all locations.
    • Maintain neat and relevant files, records, and work area.
    • Communicate frequently and effectively with management as appropriate.
    • Regular schedule includes weekends, holidays and on call 24/7 for emergencies.

    Qualifications

    To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To comply with the regulations at this work location, successful applicants must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).     Additional qualifications include
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
    • 2 years' experience in truck fleet operations, warehouse management, shipping and receiving or equivalent desired.
    • Experience in scheduling, inventory tracking, sales projection techniques and calculations of run-out dates preferred.
    • Must have experience working with personal computers (Microsoft Excel and Word).
    • Leadership experience and skills to effectively communicate with customers, vendors and hourly workforce preferred.
    • Must possess the ability to effectively guide, mentor and motivate drivers.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
    • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
    • Must maintain active Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

    Hiring Range:

    The hiring range for this position is $53,000 to $66,000 annually, plus non-discretionary bonus. The candidate selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
