Facility Security Officer (Part Time)

The Facility Security Officer (Part Time) is responsible for the safety and security of Legends Global Oakland patrons, employees, and assets.

Starting hourly wage $21.42.

Valid California Guard Card required.

Duties and responsibilities include conducting patrols of the building on a regular basis, responding to all security and safety related calls in a timely manner, exhibiting exemplary conduct and appearance while on duty, complying with and adhering to all the department's performance, conduct, and attendance standards, performing a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without the loss of efficiency or composure, complying with all legal and ethical instructions given by the Facility Security Supervisors on duty, Facility Security Manager, Security Manager, or the Sr. Director of Security, adhering to the Security Department's Prime Directives, investigating and compiling accurate incident reports, completing all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set by the Facility Security Supervisors on duty, Facility Security Manager, Security Manager, or the Sr. Director of Security, interacting with guests, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner, and complying with all legal and ethical instructions given by the Security Management team. Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience, ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen, must have a valid California Driver's License, applicants must have a current Guard Card or Proprietary Security Officer (PSO) Card OR be willing and able to obtain one prior to employment, ability to maintain good business relations with all departments and staff, ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure, ability to exhibit maturity by making sound judgment, ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information, ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during intensely aggravated circumstances, ability to participate in all departmental and companywide meetings, ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality, and must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Understanding of written and spoken English is also required.

Physical requirements include walking and standing 90% of the time, talking, hearing, walking, running, and vision activities occurring continuously, work performed both indoors and outdoors with possible exposure to inclement weather.
