    LHH is actively seeking a Dispatcher for one of our top clients in Houston! This will be a contract to hire opportunity with our client and will report onsite to their office in Houston. This will have a rotating shift schedule 8 days on / 6 days off.

    • Must be available to work weekends and holidays when scheduled
    • Holidays and weekends off only when they fall within the scheduled time-off period
    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher to support daily transportation and logistics operations. The Dispatcher will coordinate customer requests, schedule drivers and equipment, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely communication between customers, drivers, and operations personnel. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Complete required training and become qualified to receive customer call-ins, dispatch loads, and accurately record load information.
    • Schedule drivers and trucks for meter provings and transportation activities.
    • Enter and maintain dispatch-related data, including loads called in, dispatched loads, and other operational information.
    • Review and correct driver log issues within the Xata application.
    • Sort, organize, and maintain run tickets, DOT logs, and other operational paperwork.
    • Utilize dispatch software and computer systems to:
      • Enter and track load information
      • Search lease numbers, tank numbers, operator information, and destination data
      • Access ticket records and barrel flow information
    • Stay informed on lease severances and State Oil & Gas Board approvals to ensure compliance with hauling requirements.
    • Prepare and distribute daily operational reports, including:
      • Loads over 48 hours
      • Dropped loads
      • Loads hauled
      • Other dispatch and operational reports as required
    • Track, maintain, and file reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
    • Communicate extensively with customers regarding:
      • Load call-ins
      • Scheduling and coordination of lease hauling
      • Special lease instructions
      • Resolution of ticket discrepancies and customer concerns
    • Support operational efficiency by performing additional duties as assigned.
    • Promote and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in all decisions and actions.
    Qualifications
    Required
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
    • Basic math proficiency and keyboarding skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with customers, drivers, management, and other departments.
    • Knowledge of standard office procedures and professional work practices.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency with:
      • Computers and dispatch systems
      • Multi-line telephone systems
      • 10-key calculators
      • Copiers and fax machines
    Working Conditions
    • Office-based work environment.
    • Primarily sedentary position with limited physical activity.
    • Occasional light lifting may be required.
