    Description Of Work

    This role oversees financial planning and reporting for programs within the agency. As a County Fiscal Officer 2, you will perform the following duties:

    • Staff Supervision: Guide, train, and support fiscal staff in daily tasks and assigned projects
    • Budget Preparation: Assemble and prepare state and county budgets by reviewing expenditures and analyzing program needs
    • Financial Reporting: Oversee completion of state and federal expenditure reports and ensure compliance with regulations
    • Audit Support: Assist with audit preparation and take part in required audit activities
    • Grant Oversight: Monitor agency grants, ensure regulations are followed, and prepare financial reports for state submission
    • Eligibility Review: Oversee review of applications to determine medical and Title IV-E eligibility for children entering placement

    Work Schedule And Additional Information:

    • Full-time employment
    • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
    • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
    • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

    Qualifications

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1; or
    • Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
    • Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
    • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

    • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    Legal Requirements:

    • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
    • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
