    As the Head of Government and Defense, you will lead and manage the company's go-to-market efforts in the government, public, and defense sectors. WHOOP has established itself as a critical partner to many federal, state, local, and international government partners. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of an ambitious sales effort to grow this vertical from its strong foundation. You will directly manage a team of Sales and Customer Success professionals. The successful candidate will be a strong leader and people manager, while also embracing a tactical perspective and an excitement to directly engage in the sales cycle to win deals.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop a strategy to scale the WHOOP business within the Department of War and throughout the U.S. federal government
    • Lead and motivate a team of account executives and sales professionals to deliver ambitious results
    • Deliver multiple high-value deals that expand WHOOP access to large swaths of the federal government
    • Oversee business development in new international geographies
    • Lead development and execution of our marketing strategy to showcase powerful use cases in the public sector
    • Partner with the product team to help provide iterative feedback in the development of the WHOOP Unite platform
    • Own budget for the government sales division
    Qualifications:
    • 12-15 years of experience in government sales, defense technology business development, and/or government service
    • Demonstrated experience successfully winning contracts and developing programs of record within the Department of War
    • Strong network within the Department of War and federal government
    • Expert understanding of Congressional appropriations process
    • Comfort with meeting and beating sales forecasts
    • Passion for fitness, health, and human performance
    • Willingness to travel frequently to Washington, DC as well as cities and bases throughout the United States and around the world

    This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

    The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $250,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.

    In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.

    These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate's specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role's requirements.
