Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Zanesville, OH
Schedule: Saturday-Wednesday - 2:00 pm-Midnight
Pay: $15.30 per hour (bi-weekly pay)
Position Overview
We are seeking reliable, professional Unarmed Security Officers to provide safety and protection for a large warehouse operation during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible security presence, monitor access points, conduct patrols, and ensure compliance with site safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility and designated areas
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property
- Observe, report, and document any unusual activities or safety concerns
- Respond to alarms and incidents in a calm and professional manner
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors
- Follow all company and client policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid state-issued security license or ability to obtain one (if applicable)
- Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and stay alert throughout the shift
- Must be able to pass a background check
Shift & Environment
- Afternoon shifts (typically between 2 PM and Midnight)
- Indoor/outdoor environment with periodic foot patrols
- Must be comfortable working alone or with limited supervision
