    Library Security Officer – Muskogee-F/T

    Muskogee Public Library (MPL) is looking for an unarmed Library Security Officer who strives to deliver the highest quality of security and customer service to MPL staff, patrons and guests. Security officers ensure all proper procedures and rules are followed by monitoring and patrolling library property and responding to emergency situations. Provides a safe and secure environment for all library patrons and assigned staff, protecting both individuals and the library's physical assets. Proactively identifies potential security risks or disruptions and works with patrons or staff to resolve issues. Responds to emergency situations within the library building, on library grounds, and in parking areas. Performs additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or G.E.D.
    • One year of relevant security, law enforcement or related military experience.
    • CLEET certified preferred, or ability to obtain.

    Compensation: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience

    Schedule: 40 hours per week, includes some evenings and Saturdays. Benefits: Excellent benefits package
