Title: AirportControl Operator
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr + 10% shift differential
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 6-9 months - Temp - Hire
Schedule: Swing shift - 2pm- 10:30pm (days off are in the middle of the week)
Location: Phoenix AZ
Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated AirportControl Operator to work on-site with our client, a leading global transportation solutions company. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
*Airport requirements must pass an FAA background and security check to obtain an SIDA access badge*
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safely and efficiently entering, exiting and diverting trains using a computer-based system.
- Monitoring and controlling all automatic trains and guideway activities.
- Radio communications, monitoring CCTV system, dispatching trains for passenger service.
- Monitoring system alarms and any other functions which affect the operations of the Sky Train System.
- Responsible for the power configuration of the Electrical Power System.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all activities on the PHX Sky Train system by using a shift logbook and pass-downs.
- Must comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
- Maintain required certifications and qualifications as they pertain to Central Control Operations.
- Computer Savvy with various software.
- Air Traffic Controller experience (preferred).
- Must be able to communicate effectively, clearly and calmly via radio.
- Must have Valid Driver's license
- Must be a Team Player
- Must be able to sit for long hours (entire shift)
- Must pass Criminal background check (Airport requirements must pass an FAA background and security check to obtain an SIDA access badge.)
- This position is considered "safety-sensitive" and is subject to alcohol and drug testing under Federal regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
