As a Security Officer at Signet Jewelers, you'll play a critical role in protecting our people, property, and assets while creating a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors. WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Safeguard the facility and distribution center by enforcing security procedures and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Protect company assets through access control, screening of distribution areas, and inspection of outgoing materials, including mail and trash recovery.
- Conduct patrols, monitor activities, and respond promptly to incidents while maintaining detailed and accurate reports.
- Support investigations and asset recovery efforts in collaboration with the Security Leadership Team.
- Stay current with industry best practices through ongoing training in firearms, hazardous materials, public safety, and security operations.
- Build trust and rapport with employees and visitors by maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
- Perform other assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
- High school diploma or GED required; Criminal Justice degree preferred.
- Prior private security experience required; military or law enforcement background a plus.
- Valid 20-Hour Private Security Firearms Certificate (O.P.O.T.C.) or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
