You excel at conducting inspections, performing maintenance, and implementing proactive measures to ensure that all systems function optimally and comply with regulatory requirements.At KBR, you bring a detail-oriented approach and a passion for safety to every task. Your proactive mindset and strong communication skills ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in maintaining a culture of safety and preparedness.What You'll DoInstall, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.Inspect, repair or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment.Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedure.Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required.Perform all other duties as assigned.RequirementsMust be a US or Australian citizen.Must have a minimum of five years of experience working with fire protection equipment and systems.Must possess NICET II or NICET III.Must possess and maintain qualifications in accordance with US DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), or Australian equivalent acceptable to the USG.Secret clearance.Desired QualificationsBA/BS from an accredited institution.Ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly or Australian PV clearance.This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
