Job Summary:
This is a civilian position designed to augment the certified officers in the performance of their duties as well as taking on some of the duties that do not require a certified officer to perform.Report taking that would not have investigative value, traffic control at incidents as well as community events, escort duties, parking complaints and related work as required.
This position has been classified as a safety sensitive position and is subject to our drug testing policy to include pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident for the following prohibited substances: marijuana, amphetamines, opioids, phencyclidine (PCP), and cocaine, as well as any drug not approved for medical use by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
High school diploma or GED equivalency; and successful completion of CPD In-House & Field Training (FTO); and some experience in law enforcement or college level course work in criminal justice or other law enforcement field preferred, but not required; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
