Examples of Duties
Milwaukie Police Officers perform law enforcement and crime prevention work including patrol and investigation. Sworn officers, enforce federal, state, and local laws, regulations and ordinances and performs a variety of duties including but not limited to the following:
The Milwaukie Police Department provides a variety of career possibilities for Police Officers through specialty assignments including Detective, Field Training Officer, Motorcycle Officer, Criminalist, Public Information Officer, Transit Police, and School Resource Officer.
Required Education, Training and Experience
(Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of this position. Prior work experience and educational requirements listed are typical ways of obtaining the required qualifications. Other equivalent combinations of education, training and experience will be considered.)
