    Law Enforcement Cadet

    This is trainee work in law enforcement assisting law enforcement officers in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances.

    Jurisdiction - Annual Salary Range

    Mobile County - $36,653 - $58,595**

    City of Mobile - $38,220 - $61,101*

    * Effective 10/05/24

    **Amended 12/11/24

    Minimum Qualification Requirements Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and preferably some experience dealing with the public under varying circumstances.

    10 days annual vacation with accumulation to 35 days (The number of days earned increases based on years in the merit system, with a maximum of 25 days per year for 25 or more years of service)
