OverviewThis position sits within our Content division which identifies and publishes accurate and relevant project data for our software solutions.The OpportunityThe Market Intelligence Relationship Manager serves as a senior-level ambassador between ConstructConnect and the construction industry's most influential project sources — including General Contractors, Architectural firms, and Owners with restricted project-sharing policies.This is a relationship-first, influence-driven role. The person in this position does not own these accounts from a reporting perspective but operates at a strategic level to open doors, build trust, and demonstrate the mutual value of partnering with ConstructConnect's Project Intelligence platform (CCPI). The goal is to convert high-value, historically resistant sources from "do not share" to engaged contributors — by meeting them where they are, understanding their concerns, and co-creating a value story that resonates.ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Be DoingRelationship Development & EngagementIdentify, prioritize, and cultivate relationships with GC and Architectural firms nationwide, as well as Owners currently operating under do-not-share policiesConduct live platform demonstrations of CCPI to showcase the value of ConstructConnect as an industry resource — not just a data collectorBuild trust with decision-makers (VPs, Directors of Preconstruction, Marketing, Business Development) by acting as a knowledgeable peer and industry thought partner, not a salespersonObjection Handling & Value Proposition DevelopmentDevelop and refine tailored value proposition messaging for each source segment (GC, A/E, Owners)Proactively address concerns around data privacy, competitive sensitivity, and reciprocal valueWork collaboratively with internal teams to build and iterate on objection-handling frameworks based on real-world feedback from the fieldChampion the "share and benefit" story — helping sources understand how contributing data yields actionable market intelligence in returnStrategic Outreach & Pipeline ManagementMaintain a prioritized, living target list of high-value sources nationally, with current status, engagement history, and next stepsTrack and report on outreach activity, engagement rates, and conversion milestones (from "do not share" to active contributor)Coordinate with Content to ensure seamless source and project handoffs once a relationship is establishedWhen applicable, represent ConstructConnect at industry events to build visibility and rapport with target source segmentsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with the Content, Product, and Sales teams to ensure source feedback informs platform improvements and value proposition evolutionWork with Marketing to develop leave-behind materials and resources that support source engagementCollaborate with Content to share intel on source concerns and best practices for building lasting relationshipsContribute to the development of a scalable national source engagement mode.Industry Intelligence & Thought LeadershipStay current on construction industry trends and competitive landscape to engage sources as a credible industry expertIdentify patterns in source resistance and surface insights that can influence ConstructConnect's broader content strategyContribute to internal knowledge sharing — training materials, playbooks, and talk tracks — so relationship‑building best practices scale across the teamThis job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones that team members can be required to performQualificationsWhat You Bring to the TeamExceptional relationship‑building skills— able to establish credibility and trust with senior‑level executives in the construction industryStrong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with executive‑level presentations and platform demosProven ability to navigate complex objections with empathy, patience, and a consultative approachDeep understanding of (or ability to quickly learn) the construction project lifecycle— from design through general contracting and developmentFamiliarity with ConstructConnect's platform and data ecosystem (CCPI) preferred; willingness to become a product expert is requiredComfortable working independently and cross‑functionally in a matrixed organizationStrategic thinker with the ability to prioritize high‑impact opportunities across a large portfolioThis role requires up to 25% travel, typically 1 week per month.Training & Educational RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experienceDemonstrated experience building relationships with skeptical or resistant stakeholders and converting them to engaged partnersExperience with consultative selling frameworks or value proposition development is a strong plusPrior experience in a reporting, editorial, or market intelligence role is a significant asset for this positionPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods.
