  • Summary

    Job Title: Watch Officer

    Location: 6315 Bren Mar Drive, Alexandria, VA 22312

    Summary: This program supports services by providing continuous watch, briefing, and analytical support for the customers Operations Center and Incident Management System. The effort delivers 24/7 situational awareness through the monitoring, analysis, synthesis, and dissemination of operational, intelligence, and incident-related information impacting federally protected facilities nationwide. Contractor support includes producing executive-level briefings, daily and emergent reports, geospatial and data-driven products, and coordinating information flow across the regions, DHS components, and interagency partners. The program operates in both classified and unclassified environments and is designed to support steady-state operations, special events, emergencies, and incident response, ensuring the customer leadership has timely, accurate, and actionable information to support mission-critical decision-making.

    Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for the quality of deliverables provided and performance of contract watch standers
    • Manages watch functions, processes, and information flow
    • Prioritize tasks and efforts and coordinate information gathering and reporting with other elements
    • Maintain situational awareness of DHS related events, incidents, and threats and participates in daily NOC Operations calls
    • Brief senior leadership on priority information requirements
    • Review and approve incident reports and reporting products before distribution
    • Maintain RFI database, assigns RFIs, tracks RFI's, and ensures RFI's are reviewed and approved
    • Capable of maintaining the COP
    • Produce, review, and brief the DOSR and Ensure DOSR is distributed
    • Maintain distribution lists and telephone rosters
    • Capable of producing limited GIS imagery to support reporting products
    • Maintain reviews watch turnover/pass down report
    • Access, navigate, and utilize DHS law enforcement data systems and networks (to secret clearance level)
    • Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions
    • Collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, service, or products
    • Develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.
    • Should be able to type 65-70 words per minute and is skilled in Adobe and Microsoft office products, including excel, PowerPoint, Word
    Requirements:
    • An Intermediate Watch Analyst/Project Manager shall have 5 years of experience in operation centers, emergency management, dispatch, first responder (law enforcement/fire/rescue) or related work
    • Minimum requirement of a BA/BS
    • Candidate should have Active Secret Clearance
