    Unarmed Security Officer

    Midwest Security Forces is looking for experienced applicants to fill immediate full-time unarmed security officer positions in La Porte, IN. General security responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Provide excellent customer service to ourclients
    • Secures premises and establishing a friendly presence at the site
    • He/she must be customer service oriented
    • The successful candidate will pay close attention to detail
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Must have good communication skills
    • Observe, survey, and report activities at the assigned site
    • Respond quickly to critical situations
    • Ability to read and write detailed reports
    • Enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards
    • The ability to work within a team environment
    • Must consistently maintain a well-groomed appearance and hygiene

    Qualifications:

    • Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED)
    • Authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law.
    • Effective written and verbal communication
    • Security officer experience a plus
    • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving history
    • Must have reliable means of transportation
    • Must be able to pass drug screening
    • Must be able to pass background check

    Midwest Security Forces, LLC was formed in January 2006 when we acquired a previous security company that was local to Northwest Indiana. We provide armed and unarmed security officers as well as marked security vehicles. We started with about 30 employees and have grown the company to over 160 employees working in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. This growth is largely due to our dedicated team and our layered management structure. Midwest has an executive management staff with over 70 years combined experience in local law enforcement, military, and private industry.

    Midwest Security clients include retail shopping centers, professional office parks, high-rise buildings, highway travel centers, industrial facilities, banks, gated residential communities, health care facilities, and more. We are proud of our long-standing relationships with our clients and many of our clients have been with us since we began. Our hands-on approach and responsiveness to every situation is what sets us apart from others. Our Executive team receives alerts 24/7 so we can respond immediately when there is an issue at an account. Midwest Security Forces is a family-owned business that personally cares about our employees and clients.
