Police Officer Academy Grad (Direct) applicants must provide proof of successful completion of a California POST-Certified Basic Academy.
Applicants who are currently employed as a police/peace officer in the State of California, and have satisfactorily completed a probation period for a peace officer classification must apply for the Police Officer Lateral recruitment.
