Location South DakotaPractice Type- Anesthesiology (infant, pediatric, adult, geriatric)Start Date Febuary 12th, 2019 (As soon as credentialing is complete). Through Febuary 11th, 2020. Four (4) One (1) year options to renew.We have an immediate need for a CRNA for a hospital located in South Dakota. Below are additional details:Facility OverviewThe 45 bed Hospital, serving an Indian population of more than 17,000, is the largest in the Area. A 16 physician staff sees medical, obstetrical, pediatric, and surgical patients. The facility located in South Dakota, includes full service general surgery, an obstetrical ward, and dental. Two Health Centers and two health stations operate within the Service Unit.RequirementsHours: Eight (8) hour duty days, five (5) days per week excluding recognized Federal Holidays. Thirty (30) Minuet Lunch.Call: Weekends, Nights, Federal Holidays. Five (5) minute of receipt of notification/ Report to hospital within Twenty (20) minutes.Specialty: Anesthesia Serverices for infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.Positions: Two (2) contracted anesthesia providers available for OR cases during the work day. One (1) anesthesia provider will be designated for labor epidural services per duty days (in addition to OR cases and CRNA consults).Procedures: Induce anesthesia, maintain anesthesia, continue life support functions, provide monitored anesthesia care/sedation. initiate and impliment regional anesthesia blocks, endotracheal intubation and extubation, insertion of arterial catherters, performing arterial punctures, identification and management of emergency anesthesia such as malignant hyperthermia, supervision of ventilator asistance both by respirator and ventilator and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Indepedent spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, recognizing and managing complications secondary to spinal/ epidural anesthesia. Assistance with cardioversions in departments (ER, Acute Care Nursing, L&D, Post Pardum).Competencies: Pediatric Dental Surgeries, C-Sections, labor epidurals, podiatric surgeries, gynecological surgeries, gerneral surgery, ENT surgery, Pain Management, Orthopedics.- Class I privilages: Local infiltration, topical application, Minor nerve block- Class II privalages: General Anesthesia, Sedation, Regional Anesthesia, Pain Management.Qualifications:Licensed MDA, CPR/ BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, PALSCatapult Healthcare is a comprehensive national staffing agency and placement firm specializing in both locums tenens physician and advanced practitioners (NP / PA), in addition to travel nursing and allied clinical service professionals.
