Position Overview Position Title : Locums - Orthopaedic Surgery Profession : Physician Specialty : Orthopaedic Surgery Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing Position Type : Locum Tenens Coverage Type : Call Only Practice Details Practice Setting : Both outpatient and inpatient Patients Per Shift : 1-2 Bed In Department : 19 Rounding : Assigned patients EMR System : MEDHOST Responsibilities and Expectations Primary Responsibilities : Provide call coverage for orthopaedic surgery cases Manage and treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions Perform surgeries and follow-up care as needed Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care Participate in rounds for assigned patients Requirements and Qualifications Certifications : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery (fellowship training preferred) ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS required Licensing : Must meet state licensing requirements for Utah; temporary privileges available Experience : Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is required Schedule and Coverage Shift Details : Call coverage primarily, with potential for additional duties Initial coverage dates: August 16-19 (7am start) Ongoing coverage needs anticipated Allowed Holidays : 4th of July Thanksgiving Day New Year's Day Memorial Day Christmas Day Labor Day Additional Information This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality orthopaedic care.
