    Forensic/Autopsy Pathologist Position near BEULAVILLE, NC Job Overview: A renowned healthcare organization near BEULAVILLE, NC is currently seeking a highly qualified forensic/autopsy pathologist for a permanent position. The ideal candidate must be board certified in AP or AP/CP and is expected to obtain Forensic Pathology board certification within one year of hire. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive knowledge of principles, practices, techniques, and advances in the field of forensic pathology and medicolegal death investigation. Job Highlights: Employment by a leading Academic Medical Center Hospital privileges at a level 1 trauma, 974 bed Academic Medical Center, 2nd largest in NC Established program with two forensic pathologists and one pathologist assistant in the Eastern Regional Autopsy Center in Greenville, North Carolina Eastern Regional Autopsy Center completes 600 medical examiner autopsies and 300 external examinations annually Center also serves as the autopsy service for the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine, by completing 80-100 medical autopsies each year Assistant or Associate Professor commensurate with qualifications Comprehensive benefits including relocation assistance, vacation & sick PTO, CME days & reimbursement, malpractice (with tail), retirement benefits, state health plan health insurance, employer-paid dependent health insurance, medical and dental reimbursements, employer-paid AD&D, disability, and life insurance Additional supplemental insurance benefits options Accident, AD&D, Cancer, Critical Illness, Dental, FSA for Healthcare and Dependent Care Expenses, Life, and Vision Job Duties: Performing forensic autopsies and external examinations; performance of hospital autopsies Reviewing investigative reports to determine jurisdiction.
