    Full Time Day Shift - Bethesda North Hospital

    Location:

    10500 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH 45242

    Work Schedule:
    • 40 (80hrs Weekly)
    • 7am - 5:30pm
    • On Call Requirement
    • No Holidays
    • No Weekends
    Job Overview:

    As a Registered Nurse in the Bethesda North Cath Lab, you will provide both direct and indirect holistic care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will apply the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and support patients and their families throughout their procedural experience. In this highly collaborative environment, you will work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care. You will also delegate appropriate tasks to team members under your supervision in alignment with the nursing scope of practice. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional cardiovascular care.

    Hourly Incentives & Bonus:

    $3hr Procedural Pay

    $20K Sign on Bonus with Qualifying Experience (2 year agreement)

    Job Requirements:

    Associate's Degree - Nursing (Required)

    New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. (Required)

    1 year of Cath Lab Experience (Required)

    Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle

    Registered Nurse Required

    ACLS PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department Preferred

    Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

    Job Responsibilities:

    Demonstrates organizational responsibilities. Identifies areas for self-improvement through self-assessment and peer review. Functions in roles and provides leadership on the unit as needed and requested. Cooperates with instructor to facilitate learning experiences for students. Demonstrates knowledge and is supportive of organizational and unit changes. Supports organizational activities by participating in activities such as committees, staff meetings, councils. Utilizes chain of command appropriately. Builds collegial relationships with physicians and other health team members. Demonstrates autonomy in identifying opportunities for process improvement.

    Evaluates the plan of care for patient based on optimal specific patient outcomes. Documents the patient/family response to care including teaching. Collaborates with the patient/family and with other members of the health care team, including physicians, to revise plan of care as needed. Supervises the care that was delegated to other health care team members.

    Implements plan of care for patient. Provides a safe and therapeutic environment while maintaining patient's autonomy, dignity, and rights. Determines plan of care based on ethical principles as outlined in the TriHealth Code of Ethical Business and Professional Behavior. Acts as a patient advocate. Delivers care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to patient diversity. Seeks available resources to help formulate ethical decisions. Prioritizes the workload according to patient's needs, requests, and the needs of the unit/facility. Recognizes emergency situations, notifies appropriate personnel, and begins emergency measures. Completes patient as

    Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family. Completes initial assessment tool. Documents ongoing assessment per unit/TriHealth guidelines. Communicates assessment findings to other health care providers as appropriate. Includes health counseling and health teaching needs in assessment.

    Performs technical skills according to policy and procedure and accepted standards within their area of practice. Safely administers medications/treatments and monitors their effects. Uses all equipment in a safe, appropriate manner.

    Plans care for patient and family based on assessment, standards of care, and optimal specific outcomes. Initiates and individualizes appropriate patient care guidelines/plan of care or clinical pathways. Updates current plan of care as needed based on patient/family input and healthcare needs. Develops both short and long term goals with patient/family and healthcare team including discharge planning. Communicates plan of care to others.
