We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team in a growing community near Springs, TX. This ongoing locum tenens opportunity offers a flexible call schedule, starting as soon as possible (ASAP). Responsibilities: Provide on-call obstetrical care to women delivering babies in our state-of-the-art Labor and Delivery unit. Respond promptly to emergent situations and collaborate with hospital staff, including nurses and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Perform deliveries, manage complications, and provide necessary interventions as needed. Offer support and guidance to patients and their families during the birthing process. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in obstetric practices and participate in ongoing professional development activities (when call schedule allows). Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Texas (TX) medical license or a valid Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license is required. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is mandatory. Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical obstetrics setting is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in obstetric care. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment. Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment with on-call responsibilities. Additional Considerations: This locum tenens opportunity offers a call-only schedule, requiring coverage for approximately 8-10 days per month. You will be notified via beeper and expected to respond promptly when called. You will be working collaboratively with a supportive team of nurses and other healthcare professionals within the Labor and Delivery unit.
