    Pathology Opening - NebraskaLocated in Hastings, NebraskaAbout the PositionA well-established nonprofit healthcare system in central Nebraska is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join a collaborative pathology team serving two hospital campuses in Hastings and Grand Island.This role provides laboratory leadership and comprehensive diagnostic services across both facilities. The incoming physician will work alongside two full-time pathologists while collaborating closely with laboratory leadership, clinicians, and hospital administration to support high-quality patient care.The position includes responsibilities across surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology within a supportive hospital environment.Position Highlights-Provide anatomic and clinical pathology coverage across two hospital campuses-Interpret laboratory specimens and provide diagnostic evaluations including disease identification and staging-Perform surgical pathology and cytopathology services-Collaborate with laboratory leadership and clinicians to support quality laboratory operations-Maintain accurate medical documentation and pathology reporting-Participate in medical staff activities and fulfill responsibilities outlined in medical staff bylawsCompensation and Benefits-Competitive compensation ranging from $320,000-$400,000 annually-Relocation assistance available-Malpractice insurance coverage-Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance-Retirement plan options including employer-sponsored plans-CME support and professional development opportunities-Additional benefits and incentive opportunities may be availableCommunityHastings is a welcoming community in central Nebraska known for its strong healthcare presence, affordable cost of living, and excellent quality of life.-Affordable housing and family-friendly neighborhoods-Access to parks, trails, and outdoor recreation throughout the region-Active arts, cultural events, and community festivals-Convenient driving distance to Lincoln and other regional citiesCandidate Qualifications-Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO)-Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)-Eligible for medical licensure in Nebraska-Strong collaboration skills and commitment to high-quality diagnostic care
