Job Description Provide a full complement of head and neck surgery services in a tertiary health system that serves nearly 1 million people in a 6-county region Our current team includes 2 seasoned physicians and 2 physician assistants Referrals come from a broad base of employed primary care physicians, neighboring community physicians, ER and Trauma team Practice is located in newly constructed 90,000 square foot medical office complex which also houses audiology, allergy and immunology service, imaging and lab Nearby hospital has 12 ORs; ambulatory surgery center has 6 ORs Opportunity to practice in neighboring rural hospital About the Opportunity Competitive compensation package includes base salary plus wRVU bonus, sign-on bonus, PTO/CME time and allowance, relocation reimbursement, plus comprehensive benefits including family medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, employer matched retirement plan, occurrence-based malpractice insurance. About Our Health System 400-bed regional health care system with over a dozen outpatient clinics and ancillary facilities, more than 400 physicians and advance practice providers, and nearly 3,000 employees. Signature services include a Joint Commission Accredited Stroke Center, Heart and Vascular Institute, Hillman Cancer Center, and Level III Trauma Center. Medical staff includes 70+ primary care physicians and specialists in interventional/EP/heart failure/non-invasive cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, ENT, general/robotic, bariatric and breast surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, medical and radiation oncology, nephrology, orthopedics, podiatry, psychiatry, urology and vascular surgery. The hospital is fully staffed with 20+ physician hospitalists, a full-service intensivist staff,and a team of interventional radiologists. Community Altoona is a small city surrounded by mountains in west central Pennsylvania with 5 major metropolitan areas within a 2 to 5-hour drive. Daily Amtrak train service to New York and Pittsburgh and daily flights to and from Charlotte, NC are available locally. Our region offers a friendly and uncomplicated way of life filled with cultural and recreational opportunities. Hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, golfing and skiing are popular at nearby state parks, resorts and trails. Big10 sports, national touring performances and a college town atmosphere are among the highlights of neighboring State College, home to Penn State University. -
