    Position Details:

    • Location: Near Greenwood, WI
    • Role: Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist
    • Schedule: Full-time with scheduled clinical hours plus call
    • Start Date: January 1, 2025, with ongoing potential

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services in both clinical and procedural settings.
    • Perform various endoscopic procedures, including:
      • Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, injection of varices)
      • ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
      • PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
      • Lower GI endoscopy, including colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
    • Utilize and interpret esophageal manometry and perform liver biopsies.
    • Handle both routine and emergency cases as they arise.
    • Participate in call coverage with an expected response time of 20 minutes.

    Facility Requirements:

    • Board Certification: Required in Gastroenterology with fellowship completion.
    • Licensure: Must hold a Wisconsin license or be eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
    • Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
    • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
    • Team Environment: Youll work alongside a skilled team including RNs, MAs, and one PA/NP.

    Additional Details:

    • Credentialing: Estimated 90-day timeframe for completion.
    • Travel and Accommodation: Assistance provided for travel arrangements, including lodging.
    • Insurance: Malpractice coverage provided by the vendor.
