    Fire Protection Specialist

    Martek has been awarded several long-term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of real estate talent. Our team is seeking a Fire Protection Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of Energy (DoE) with the required education and experience outlined below.

    Part-Time, 20 Hours per Week Site Address: 1000 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024

    Responsibilities & Duties
    • Evaluates fire protection systems including alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems.
    • Coordinates inspections, testing, and certification with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
    • Reviews facility layouts to ensure compliance with fire codes and safe egress.
    • Advises on fire risks associated with relocation activities.
    • Ensures compliance with NFPA standards and federal safety regulations.
    Job Qualifications:

    Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Science, Safety Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Professional certifications (e.g., NICET, CFPS) preferred

    Experience Requirements

    Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Martek Global Services, Inc.
